I decided on the spur of the moment to head to Dubbo in early January. I was looking for places to stay on WikiCamps and this place just jumped out at me. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s a stunning location. And you can feel the pride that Mark, the owner, has put into everything he’s made.
Mark offers a bit of everything accomodation wise, but I chose to set up my tent and just use his ammenities. I loved all the quirky features but just sitting in the grassed area, having a drink while watching the sun go down, was my favourite.
I used Billy’O Bush Retreat as my base while I went out and explored Dubbo and the Western Plains Zoo. It’s only about 20mins down the road from Dubbo it’s self.
No pets allowed unfortunately due to the resident farm animals of Mark’s gorgeous dog and the one legged but highly affectionate cat. The cat kept me company while I was admiring the sunsets.
